The Brown Bag Crisps’ team is getting ready for this year’s International Food and Drink Event, and we can’t wait!
This trade show is held every other year and the 2019 event is expected to host 1,350 food and drink producers at ExCel, London. Brown Bag Crisps will be exhibiting for the third time and it’s a show which we’ve really loved – we get to meet local and international customers (and customers to be!) not to mention other like-minded small business owners.
The show runs from Sunday, March 17 to Wednesday March 20 and we will be at stand N3120. Please come and say hello and try our award-winning crisps, including our newest flavour – Rosemary and Sea Salt.

Brown Bag Crisps’ top wish has come true – our crisps bags can now be recycled! Thanks to Terracycle – a company which can recycle things which have previously not been recyclable – our crisps bags (and anyone else’s) can be taken to one of their many UK-wide recycling points (link below). We also have a freepost address, where you can send the bags to us to recycle on your behalf. Simply pop them in an envelope and send them to Freepost BROWN BAG CRISPS (written just like this).

We are SEVEN! Yay! A mere seven-and-a-half years ago, Brown Bag Crisps was just a dream and yet here we are, celebrating our 7th birthday. Amazing.
It’s been quite a journey and (for the most part!), it’s been brilliant. We are hugely grateful to all our fabulous customers, without whom none of this could have happened – and we can’t wait for them next 7 years. Bring them on!

We had a brilliant time at IFE last week – the international food and drink exhibition held at ExCel every other year.
Phil and Karen spent four days meeting lots of our wonderful existing customers and meeting new fans of Brown Bag Crisps. We are so proud to be in our seventh year of trading and delighted that the feedback about our crisps is so positive.
Our recently-launched veggie crisps proved very popular, with nothing but compliments about their taste, crunch and look – not to mention
the fab packaging! The combination of beetroot, carrot and parsnip went down a storm!

As a nation of snack lovers, the range of products on the market is huge, so we are particularly proud that so many retailers chose us as one of their favourites, especially considering how much bigger the other winning brands are.
Brown Bag Crisps are available in 40g and 150g bags and six flavours; Lightly Salted, Salt and Malt Vinegar, Oak Smoked Chilli, Mature Cheddar and Onion, Smoked Bacon and Tiger Prawn with a hint of Chilli and Lime (40g only).
We were delighted to see mention of the newest member of the Brown Bag Crisps’ family in Speciality Food magazine this month.
The Tiger Prawn with a hint of chilli and lime crisps, launched earlier this year, are proving just as popular as our more traditional flavours. They’re currently only available on 40g bags but we will be launching the sharing bags soon!
Brown Bag Crisps launched at a trade fair in 2010 and since then we have gone from strength to strength.
It was quite nerve-wracking to walk into Speciality and Fine Food Fair in September of that year because we were very new to the crisps industry and didn’t know how well our crisps would be received. But, almost six years on, it was the best thing we have ever done and we haven’t looked back!
This year, we will be returning to Olympia’s Speciality and Fine Food Fair for the seventh time but before then, we will be at Caffe Culture, also at Olympia, London, on May 10 and 11.
Caffe Culture is the nation’s leading gathering place for the café and coffee community, which brings together those who have a passion for pushing the industry forward. The show comprises more than 25 hours of business presentations, 30 masterclass and workshops and over 230 exhibiting suppliers of which Brown Bag Crisps will be in the artisan section.
